How is my payment information stored and protected? | Sked Social Help Center
How Sked protects your payment information.
Your Security Is Our Top Priority! 🔐
We take every aspect of your security seriously—and we mean it. You’ll notice that every corner of our site is secured with SSL encryption, ensuring your data is safe while in transit. That goes for everything from your upcoming posts to your credit card details.
What Happens to Your Card Details?
The short answer: We don't store your credit card details at all.
When you pay, your information is securely and directly transmitted to one of our world-class payment partners, Stripe. They handle card processing for some of the biggest names out there, like Shopify, Lyft, and Pinterest. Naturally, they have the industry-leading security, testing, and auditing you’d expect from a global leader.
How We Keep Track
So how do we charge you without storing your card?
We keep two tiny pieces of information: the last 4 digits of your card and the card type. This is just so we can remind you which card you're using with Sked.
The rest of the information is never seen by us. Instead, our payment partner gives us a unique, scrambled "token ID"—it looks like "mqjNcLlLrm0Je60w3OQpy"—and that's what we use every time your card needs to be charged. Stripe does the heavy lifting, and your card data stays safe where it belongs.
If you ever have any questions about how your data is stored, just reach out to our team via live chat, or email at support@skedsocial.com.
