How the Grid preview handles posts or drafts that are for multiple accounts (including IG + Facebook) | Sked Social Help Center
Why Grid Preview only changes posts for one Instagram account at a time
Grid Preview is built for Instagram. It shows how your Instagram grid will look, so it only shows Instagram posts. Other platforms, like Facebook, don’t have a grid.
What Grid Preview changes
When you move, reorder or edit posts in Grid Preview, the changes only apply to:
- Instagram posts. Posts scheduled or queued for other platforms aren’t affected.
- The account you’re viewing. Other Instagram accounts aren’t affected.
That way, you can always see the effect of every change you make. If a change also affected other accounts or platforms, you couldn’t see it in Grid Preview.
Why posts aren’t linked across accounts
If you manage one Instagram account and one Facebook Page, linking them automatically might seem simpler. But many Sked customers manage dozens or even hundreds of accounts across different brands. Automatic linking makes it much easier to post to the wrong account by mistake.
Each platform also has its own rules and style, like caption length and how many items a carousel can hold. Keeping changes separate lets you tailor each post to the platform it’s going to.
Changing posts across multiple accounts
To edit scheduled or queued posts for more than one account, use Posts or Calendar. There you can:
- Edit posts for any connected account
- Add other accounts to an existing post, for example adding a Facebook Page to an Instagram post
Your changes show straight away, so you can check them before they publish.
