How to add collaborators in Sked
When composing a feed image post or Reel, add collaborators by username in the Collaborators field before scheduling. The post will be sent to collaborators as an invitation when it publishes — they'll need to accept it from the Instagram app for it to appear on their profile.
What happens after publishing
- The post appears on the primary account's profile immediately on publish
- Collaborators receive an invitation notification in Instagram
- Once accepted, the post appears on the collaborator's profile and is distributed to their followers
- If a collaborator doesn't accept, the post remains on the primary account's profile only
Notes and limitations
- Only the original creator can delete the post. If deleted, it's removed from all collaborators' profiles too.
- Up to 3 collaborators can be added to Reels that are scheduled via Sked. Up to 5 is supported via native publishing in the Instagram app. This is an API limitation.
- If the original creator blocks a collaborator (or vice versa), the collaboration ends — but the post is preserved on the original creator's profile.
- If the original creator switches their account to private, only their followers will see the post.
- Posts where you've been added as a collaborator by someone else won't appear in your Sked Grid preview or Approval Links. This is also an API limitation.
