Why Can’t I Sign In With Google On The Sked Social Mobile App?

We get it—SSO makes life easy. However, the Sked mobile app currently requires a direct email and password to keep your account secure across devices. If you’ve only ever used Google to sign in, you just need to "create" a password for your account so the app knows it's really you.

To create a password for the first time just follow these quick steps:

  1. Open the Sked Mobile App (or go to the login screen on your phone).
  2. Tap "Forgot Password?": Even though you haven't "forgotten" it (since you technically never had one), this is the way to trigger a setup link.
  3. Enter your Gmail Address: Make sure it’s the exact same Google email you use to sign in on the web.
  4. Check your Email: You’ll receive a password reset link from Sked.
  5. Create a New Password: Follow the link and set a secure password.

Once you’ve set that password, you’re good to go!

  • To login to the App: Use your Gmail address + the new password you just created.
  • To login to the Web: You can keep using the "Sign in with Google" button as usual, or use your email and new password. Both will lead to the same account.
Note: Setting a password doesn't disable your Google SSO on the web. It just gives you a second way to get through the front door!
